Nowadays, the focus is increasingly on personal hygiene and women's well-being. Intimate douches in particular are a topic that has become increasingly important in recent years. As a yoga teacher and physiotherapist, we would like to shed light on the benefits and applications of intimate douches from two perspectives in this article. Let's delve into the world of intimate douches and discover together how they can contribute to women's health.

In both women's yoga and women's physiotherapy, self-image, self-esteem and body awareness are essential pillars of health and well-being. Intimate showers are not just about hygiene and cleanliness, but also about self-care and health aspects, which are explained in more detail below.

The intimate zone 🍑

The intimate zone is a sensitive area that requires special attention. Intimate showers can help to reduce unpleasant odors and provide a fresh feeling, especially during menstruation, before or after physical intimacy, or after exercise.

Well-being and relaxation 🧘‍♀️

Intimate showers can be a moment of self-care. Consciously taking time for yourself promotes general well-being and can help to reduce stress. A little wellness moment in everyday life can work wonders.

Hygiene 🚿

Regular hygiene can help to reduce the risk of infection. Especially in times of stress or hormonal changes, an intimate shower can have a preventative effect. It is particularly important to mention at this point the risk of excessive and exaggerated hygiene, which in turn has a negative effect on the vaginal flora and can even promote infections. This natural protective barrier can be disrupted by the use of aggressive washing lotions in particular. The use of intimate products specially made for this purpose is very sensible, whereby washing with pure water would be sufficient to clean "down under" accurately. Of course, this is particularly easy to do in the shower, over the bidet or simply in between with a Popotti douche.

Birth injuries and/or haemorroids🩸

Not only is hygiene an important aspect here in order to avoid inflammation, but also dealing with your own genitals in a state where they need special attention. With the help of the Popodusche, irritation is minimized by omitting or reducing toilet paper cleaning. A visit to the toilet can be very painful in such cases and represents a moderate to major challenge for many of those affected. When urinating with vaginal injuries, the jet of the intimate douche offers real immediate relief, as the urine can be diluted as soon as it comes out and painful burning at the wound is improved or even avoided. By avoiding additional irritation to injured areas, healing is also supported.

Well-being 😌

Increased body awareness - Regular intimate douches can increase awareness of your own body. Women can become more aware of their personal hygiene and ideally develop a better sense of their health as a result.

Conclusion 💯

The use of intimate showers/pop showers therefore has a number of positive aspects and can be used to support a wide range of applications and complaints. Well-being, body awareness, healing and health can benefit from this.
